2026 Goals

I’m used to say I’m not one for resolutions but in 2024 had I not said I would finishing writing a book in 2025 we wouldn’t be here at all so I guess I can’t entirely say that. I do have goals for 2026 but moving forward starting at next years birthday I’m going to make my resolution or goals on my birthday so it’s for my next year of life not the next calendar year.

So for 2026/my 37th year my goals are:

Read 30 book of which 9-12 of them need to be non-fiction. Re-read 1-2 favorite books I’ve loved in the past. I’m thinking 1984 and Brave New World. Continue to expand my exposure to different books and different authors.

I’d also like to finish writing my current work in progress ( Away to Another Place), finish the short stories for a short story collection and maybe outline or go into further details for two others. I want to get on a cycle so that while one book is being read by beta readers or with an editor the other is being written and then when the one comes back the other goes out and so on. This was their is a rotating flow to build momentum.
