2025 in Review
This past year was a wild year, not just in terms of writing but reading as well. In 2025 I wrote an entire novel, several short stories and start the next WIP. I read 38 books of which 27 were fiction ( 71%). Of my reads 84% were print whereas only 1 was an e-book (which was an ARC) and 4 were audio. To each their own, but I’m definitely a print girl and possibly even more controversial hardcover is preferred. The moods I gravitated to are dark, reflective, emotional and tense. Only 1 book was considered lighthearted. The two authors I read the most were Agustina Bazterrica and Keith Rosson. I will absolutely read anything they put out. My top 5 favorite books of 2025 were “Tender is the Flesh” by Agustina Bazterrica, “Coffin Moon” by Keith Rosson, “Babel” by RF Kuang, “Station Eleven” by Emily St John-Mandel, and “I Who Have Never Known Men” by Jacqueline Harpman.
