Progress As Pre-Orders Approach

Some how the serious business of taking the story from manuscript to book has absorbed so much of my time. The internet says it’s so easy to upload all your documents but what they conveniently leave out is the time consuming process of formatting, along with the fact that there are slight different specifications between places. Some of these specifications seem to exist purely to force you to use their systems, which feels narcissistically annoying. All that being said, In Stasis has been uploaded to Barnes & Noble as well as Ingram Spark. I’m waiting on the physical copies (hardcover and paperback) from Barnes & Noble. Once the document submission is finally approved from Ingram I will get my authors copies there too. Here’s hoping there’s no issues and formatting nonsense is behind us.

This week ( October 31st) the application to receive an ARC ends and within a week or so everyone will be notified. My plan is for digital copies to go out mid November and optimistically print copies will go out by the end of the month. Most of the goodies have been ordered for PR Boxes and Pre- Order rewards. The rest will be ordered this week.

I plan this week to figure out and start the audiobook. In some ways it seems so easy but other ways it feels like an absolutely mystery. Either way though this is going to be the time to dive in and make some traction. Hope y’all like the sound of my voice because that’s what we’re working with.

This upcoming Friday ( 10/31) I have my first podcast appearance! Needless to say I’m very excited to chat with Bookshop Chats. I’m still open to be on more podcasts and will be looking into book store appearance and opportunities of that variety.

Finally I hope y’all are signed up for the newsletter because next week there will be the begging opportunity of a giveaway and pre-order discount, which the newsletter folks will get first access to.
