Progress & Prospects

We are now in the waiting game once more but this time feels fuller with a longer to-do list. The “final” copy has been sent to the editor for line & copy edits which will be returned beginning of September. In the meantime though I am making the most of my time so that the flow can be as efficient as possible.

Once I’m done with this blogpost I plan to go and purchase my ISBN from Bowker and while ouch that price; I’ve bee advised it’s significantly better than the free ones offered on any platform since the platform would own the ISBN. In the event I ever wanted to change the platform it’d be necessary to have one so I’m taking the leap. The 10 pack is a far better value even if it is more.

Then I’m planning to look into various podcast and book bloggers to start setting those wheels in motion. My hope is to get as many people to hear about “In Stasis” as possible and hopefully through various outlets that’s a possibility. If you know of a great book blog or podcast please send that recommendation my way.

Finally it’s weird to say it but I will start outlining my next 2-3 books. They are standalone and not in the world of “In Stasis”, Jessi or Janus. I’ve always thought that “In Stasis” could become a duo logy or trilogy but it’s not necessary. For now I want “In Stasis” to exist on it’s own and if I chose to expand it that will be for another time. Redirecting my attention to other creations is strange since s much of my creative thoughts besides random ideas has been dedicated to my debut novel. However, I want to create a catalog so that when someone falls in love with “In Stasis” there will be something else to peak their curiosity.

Speaking of random thoughts; on Patreon I have a channel titled “ Where Fiction Meets Reality” . There’s free content but with the monthly subscription you’ll receive access to weekly “Musings of a Writer” and in the future other content. These could be used as writing prompts, ideas, or just random thoughts to comment on.
