Barnes & Noble Rockwall TX

On March 28th I did my first book signing at a Barnes & Noble! I went up to Rockwall Texas for a two-hour book signing and while optimistic, wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. As the only author there and it not being a big fair style event I hoped that there would be lots of interested people who had either seen the promotions or just so happened to be there.

The Rockwall Barnes & Noble did a fantastic job in terms of support and promotion. There were in-store advertisements and social media posts. When I arrived the books were ready and signage up. I was so pleased with the experience and attendance. I sold out the hardcover copies they had ordered and all but three of the paperbacks.

It was a surreal experience to be in a Barnes & Noble as an author, considering that as I kid I would spend hours searching out my next read between the shelves. When I was little it felt like a magical place full of possibilities and people living mysterious lives as authors. I’m not sure how mysterious my life is, but I was now one of those people creating magic in the books.
